Message from the President

The Amarillo Chamber Membership Directory, Relocation Guide, and website are valuable resources for you and your business. It provides information about Chamber members and their lines of service and products. Amarillo businesses produce the finest quality services and products for their customers, and the Amarillo Chamber of Commerce is honored to serve as a representative of this ever aggressive business community; one which strives for a stronger economy.
The Chamber staff, its Board of Directors, Executive Committee and hundreds of volunteers are the city’s leading advocates for a vibrant business climate. The Chamber continuously strives to develop goals and objectives based on member input; utilizing these ideas to conduct and host dozens of events, which promote economic growth and an attractive quality of life. Our various councils and committees are extremely active in developing programs to help our member businesses become more successful, and we take pride in promoting business, education, tourism and the cultural arts.
In the coming year, we ask you to look at who is in your circle. Are you supporting those businesses that support our community? As you look through our Chamber Directory we encourage you to do business with our Chamber members. Not only do they believe in the Chamber's goals, they also support the business community through their investments and sponsorships. Doing business with other Chamber members is the best way to thank them for their continued investment and ensure that the companies of the future continue to have this level of support.
I challenge you to engage and be involved. You must make time to work on your business rather than in your business. Your reach and influence grows every time you participate in Chamber events by learning more and meeting new people. We will inform and encourage you to participate in our many upcoming events. We also ask you to adopt a "Pay it Forward Mentality" by assisting a business colleague by getting them introduced to the opportunity and momentum the Chamber offers. And finally, we ask you to buy local. By prioritizing Chamber member businesses, we keep our spending local and thereby enrich our own vendors and service providers. We become even more effective when we work together to unite more and more businesses. Dollars spent locally help increase our sales tax revenue in the city that helps to provide key community services and keep our overall property taxes down.
Thank you for your investment in the Chamber. Your return on this investment is certain to be new contacts and relationships, resources for problem solving and education, and tools to help expand your reach and grow your business. Your participation and engagement are key!
At the Chamber, we support the many dedicated city, county and state officials and leaders. All of us are working together to carrying out a common goal...to make Amarillo the best possible place to live, learn, work and play!
Sincerely,
