DC Days in Washington April 20-23, 2026 Washington, DC
One of the Amarillo Chamber of Commerce’s most important roles is to continuously examine legislation that impacts business owners and residents in the Panhandle. Therefore, every two years the Chamber travels to our State or Nation's Capital with business and community leaders to meet with our legislators to discuss important legislative issues that affect the 26 counties located in the Texas Panhandle.
The purpose of Panhandle Days (in odd calendar years) or DC Days (in even calendar years) is to deliver a unified message to our legislators on important issues, such as the agriculture, arts, education, energy, healthcare, and workforce development. The Chamber is always looking for recommendations for legislation that you believe should be presented to our legislators at these events. For more information or to submit a legislative recommendation, contact Jason Harrison at 342-2018 or [email protected].
We encourage you to join forces with business and community leaders by traveling to our Nation’s Capital in Washington DC for DC Days in April 2026. Event participants will attend an evening dinner and meet early for breakfast before spending most of the day on the Capitol grounds visiting legislators. There is no registration fee, but participants are expected to provide their own travel and accommodations. If you have any questions call Jason at (806) 342-2018.
