Barbecue Cook-Off
​Judging Information

Thank you for judging for the 27th Annual Chamber Barbecue Cook-Off happening on Thursday, October 5th.  Find your name below confirming your event to judge and time.  Please arrive on time to judge your event.  Below you will find a map, a parking pass you can print, and a reminder of our code of conduct and tips to remember.  Thank you for your help making this the best cook-off ever!  

Should you have an emergency or cannot work your scheduled shift, notify Mary at (806) 206-1266 ASAP so that a replacement can be found.

Event Map

Below is a map of the event area.  You can drive in through the main blue gate off of 10th or in the gate off of 3rd.  We have an area designated for volunteer and judges parking based on availability, however you are encouraged to park anywhere you can find a spot.  To park in the special volunteer lot, print out the parking pass and place it on your dash.  Judges must check in at the gate marked with the RED square below for instructions, your name badge, and your wristband.  Please make sure you have checked in for your assignment prior to your scheduled Judging time listed above.

Click the link below to open and print a special parking pass to allow you to park in the designated lot.  Please do not share this pass with anyone not on the volunteer list.  If you do not have access to a printer, you will need to show the lot attendant your judging email from Mary on your phone.

JUDGES CODE OF CONDUCT
As a Judge, you are a representative of the Amarillo Chamber of Commerce for this event. 
  • Judges are expected to arrive 15 MINUTES BEFORE the start time of their category.  Please allow extra time for parking and making your way to the check-in area.
  • Judges must be 21 years of age.
  • Judges may not bring other guests with them to the judging area.
  • Children are NOT allowed in the judging area or to be with you as you judge.
  • Only the confirmed judges will be allowed to enter the event for free.  All others must have a ticket purchased in advance for $30 or at the gate for $40.
  • Judges are allowed to enjoy the food and drinks at the event after judging is over. 
  • If for any reason you are unable to fulfill your judging shift, please contact Mary at (806) 206-1266 at least 24 hours prior to the event if possible so that we can find a replacement.
