About the Main Event

The Chamber BBQ Cook-Off is our largest fundraiser of the year.  Guests may purchase tickets in advance at any Panhandle Tickets outlet for $30 in advance, or they will be $40 at the gate.  Ticket prices are all-inclusive, so guests can enjoy all they can eat barbecue plus both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, with live music from Velvet Funk.

Everyone must have a proper 21+ wristband in order to be served.  Our volunteers at the gate will check for valid IDs and supply wristbands to those old enough to consume alcohol.  Minors will be wearing a bright, solid, neon wristband and should not be given alcohol.  If someone is asking for alcohol at your booth and they do not look to be 21+, please verify their ID just in case.

Everything is included with the ticket price.  Nothing can be sold within the event grounds.  Bartenders may bring a tip jar to put out where they are working, but since everything is included in the ticket price, guests may or may not actually tip.

Gates open at 5pm, so bartenders should be in place ready to serve at that time.  The beer companies will have their own volunteers to replenish product at your stations, and the Chamber will have volunteers who will replenish ice as needed.  Ice trailers will be on site for more ice if you need more between volunteer drop-offs, but please do not leave alcohol unattended.  Alcohol will not be restocked after 730pm and the event ends at 8pm.

Event Map

There will be several beer / beverage stations located near the BLUE stage area on the map below.  There will also be two Coors booths in the YELLOW area of the event that you may be serving from, but all bartenders must check in through the gate marked with the RED box below to get your name badge, wristband, and further instructions on where you'll be working.

Below is a map of the event area.  You can drive in through the main blue gate off of 10th or in the gate off of 3rd.  We have an area designated for volunteer and judges parking based on availability, however you are encouraged to park anywhere you can find a spot.  To park in the special volunteer lot, print out the parking pass and place it on your dash.
