The Quality of Life Council coordinates and co-sponsors numerous projects that help provide quality education in our community, encourage partnerships between businesses and schools, and provides a good workforce for the employers.

Projects and Programs

  • Top Two Percent Awards is held to recognize the top two percent graduating seniors from 11 local high schools.
  • Partnerships in Education, co-sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce and the Amarillo Independent School District (AISD) matches businesses, non-profit organizations, and civic clubs with schools. 
  • Educator For A Day, co-sponsored with AISD, invites businesses, non-profit organizations, civic clubs and parents to tour the schools.
  • Teachers Touring Business Day, co-sponsored with AISD, invites teachers, principals and students to tour the businesses.
  • Ready For The Real World, co-sponsored with AISD to prepare high school juniors for college and/or workforce.
