The Women’s Council of the Amarillo Chamber of Commerce is open to Chamber members and meets the third Monday of each month, 11:45 in the Main Ballroom at the Fifth Season Inn. The purpose of the Women's Council is to support the mission of the Chamber by promoting business and commerce in Amarillo and providing opportunities for women through special projects and programs. It enhances the role of women in business and gives them a chance to get involved in Chamber activities. Below are activities of the Women’s Council.

• Monthly Programs - The council provides educational opportunities for professional development through seminars and speakers.

• Scholarship – The council funds the tuition expenses of a female student attending Amarillo College or West Texas A&M returning or entering the business arena. 

• Directory Advertising Sales – $35 business card ads or $125 full page ads are sold each Fall to benefit the scholarship program. The Women’s Council directory is distributed to over 200 businesses.
