The Quality of Life Council
works with volunteers, businesses, local, state and federal organizations
to enhance the quality of life in Amarillo . The program of work includes projects and special events and the Amarillo Chamber of Commerce Foundation.

GOLF TOURNAMENT COMMITTEE

Description: Plans and coordinates all aspects of the annual golf tournament, prizes, sponsors and logistics.
EDUCATION PROJECTS

Description: Encourages business involvement with education, honors graduating seniors with academic excellence and hosts educational seminars for high school students.
CIVIC BEAUTIFICATION COMMITTEE

Committee Meets: Monthly—1st Wednesday, 12:00 noon
Description: This committee promotes beautification throughout the city, clean-up and recycling, promotes the yellow day lily, Amarillo's flower, works with Texas Department of Transportation, Center City, City of Amarillo and Amarillo Independent School District on landscaping projects, gives Civic Beautification Awards, and conducts "Keep Amarillo Beautiful" project
(part of the statewide project entitled "Keep Texas Beautiful."
SPORTS COMMITTEE

Description: This committee recognizes high school and college athletes from Amarillo and the surrounding communities.

Description: This committee selects award winners from nominations made by coaches and community members.
